But Robert and I did go to a pumpkin patch for the first time. It was...okay...not really what we expected and again...to have enjoyed these ones you would have needed kids. Not much there except pumpkins thrown everywhere and bounce houses. Granted it would have been fun to go through one of those blow-up bounce relay things!! So here are pics of that.

King of all Beds
So we finally got a new bed and I LOVE it!! I always have neck/back problems from our cheap mattress we got when we first got married...so I finally got "permission" to get a new bed and we upgraded to a King. It's an amazing mattress and I don't toss and turn like I used to and I dont feel every movement from Robert like I used to..it's awesome! When they put the headboard/footboard on it I felt like it was Huge! Upgrading from a queen to a king you dont think there is that much difference but it feels like a huge hotel bed!!! It was way over our price range but my older brother went with me and got us a good deal...I hate going into some debt for a bed but when it comes to comfort and me being in less pain and getting better sleep, I think it's worth it! OH- and can I saw that the new comforter we got is the MOST COMFORTABLE thing ive ever felt and it was on clearance too!! I thought I loved sleeping before..now it's all I want to do is lay in bed and read/sleep!!

Cancer Update
So here is an update on how my mom is doing. The day of her surgery (tuesday) she had to have her Sentinal Node taken out from under her arm and tested for cancer and the preliminary on it came back negative which means it's almost certain that her cancer has not spread! And so during they surgery they just took out the cancer itself plus margins around it to make sure they got it all. She is doing well and her surgeon seems very hopeful when she talked to me and my dad. Here is a picture of me and her when I got there right before she went into surgery. She looks great for being at the hospital all day right?! I think so but then again she is my mom!!
While she was in surgery and plus after we were not able to see here so my Dad and I went to WillowBend mall and ate lunch- it was nice to spend time with him. Then they called and told us that she was out of surgery and the dr wanted to talk to us..so when we got there they took us to a very little room with bare walls and said the dr will be right in. We sat there for like 15 minutes waiting and my dad was going to go crazy he was so nervous- he says that was the worst part for him. But it was sweet at the same time to see my dad so worried about my mom like that! So we got great news and she seems to be recovering well- just still sore and in some pain. Thank you everyone for your well wishes, it was greatly appreciated!!

Breast Cancer Awareness
So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month...what a better way to celebrate than get Breast Cancer?? Not me but my mom. What a shock....it's one of those things that people always think it will never happen to them/their family and then it does and you dont really know how to take it in. It has sunk in a little but not fully I think. She has what is called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma which means it has the potential to spread if it has not already. My mom has cancer just on one side and it's only 1cm wide (the mass) so she goes in tomorrow for surgery to get the mass removed and see if it has spread to the lymph nodes which I am praying that it hasn't. Then she has to have radiation everyday for five weeks. I am trying not to get too upset about it and stay positive and trust that Heavenly Father will bless her body that once they take the mass out her body can fight and that the cancer will not come back, and I pray that it has not already spread. I love my mom so much (who doesnt love their mom!) and I just hate that she has to go through this...but I know trials just make us stronger. Thanks for letting me journal this...it feels good to get it out...journaling always makes me feel better. So I will be there with her during her surgery tomarrow and I know she will be okay and make it through all this, she is very tough!
